GIS platform

Drone mapping produces heavy files that require specialist software. With our GIS platform, your whole organisation can view orthophotos, DTMs, contour lines and anomalies in the browser, compare dates and download the originals when needed.

What is a GIS platform and why we offer one

A GIS platform is a web map viewer where the geographic information of a project is consulted in the browser.

Drone mapping produces heavy files: orthophotos of several gigabytes, point clouds, models. Opening them requires specialist software and powerful computers.

With the web GIS, clients see their orthophotos, DTMs, contour lines and anomalies from any device, without installing anything and without downloading the files.

It is how the whole organisation can use the data, not just the technical department.

How the web GIS viewer works

We publish each delivery as layers: orthophoto, DTM, contour lines, point cloud, inspections, plot boundaries.

Layers are organised by date, so the state of a site or a plant can be compared between flights.

Users can measure distances, areas and elevations, query attributes and download the original files.

Access is restricted to the users the client decides.

It combines public mapping (orthophotos from PNOA, Spain's National Aerial Orthophoto Programme, and the cadastre) with our own high-resolution mapping.

What the web GIS platform includes

Each project is published with its layers, legend and dates. Later deliveries are added as new layers without losing the earlier ones.

  • Web viewer with the project layers
  • Tiled orthophotos that load quickly
  • DTM with colour ramp and contour lines
  • Inspection layers (anomalies, towers, issues) with record sheet and image
  • Comparison between dates
  • Download of files in their original formats (GeoTIFF, LAS, DWG, SHP)

Who a web map viewer is for

Solar PV plant operators: plant condition, thermal anomalies and their evolution between inspections.

Contractors and site managers: each monitoring flight as a dated layer.

Power line operators: tower inventory, clearances to vegetation and photographs by tower.

Local councils and urban planning consultancies: base mapping, DTM and a recent orthophoto of the municipality.

We offer it to clients in the Valencia region (Comunitat Valenciana) and the rest of Spain and Europe as an add-on to any service.

GIS viewer formats and compatibility

The platform does not replace desktop software: the data remain available in GeoTIFF, LAS/LAZ, DWG/DXF and SHP.

Layers can be served through standard protocols to open them in QGIS or other GIS software.

The client retains ownership of their data and can download it at any time.

How much does the GIS platform cost?

It is quoted according to the volume of data, the number of layers and projects and the publication period.

It can be contracted together with a capture service (construction monitoring, inspection, surveying) as a maintenance fee.

Questions about GIS platform

Do I need to install any software?

No. The viewer runs in the browser, on a computer, tablet or phone. All you need is the link and the login details.

Can I publish my own data?

Yes. As well as the mapping we capture, design drawings, parcel maps or the client's own layers can be published and viewed over the orthophoto.

Can conditions be compared between dates?

Yes. Each flight or inspection is published as a dated layer. Two dates can be switched on and compared in the same viewer.

Do I own the data?

Yes. The mapping belongs to the client. You can download the original files at any time and in the formats in which they were delivered.

Does it replace QGIS or a desktop GIS?

No. It is a viewer for consulting, measuring and sharing. For advanced analysis, the same data are opened in QGIS or other software, from the original files or through standard services.

Tell us where the project is and what you need to solve

You can send us the site boundary, a plan or the specification. We will reply within one or two working days to review the scope and confirm when you can expect the proposal.
